The post is full time and will involve work in 2 of the College Campuses but could also be available as 2 part-time positions.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for teaching who is keen to pass on their knowledge to our students. The successful candidate will have completed an SVQ level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery and have relevant work experience. Candidates should also have completed Advanced Craft in Carpentry and Joinery and hold an HNC/D in one of the Construction or Built Environment disciplines.

The individual should have an excellent working knowledge and skill set relevant to Carpentry and Joinery. Experience of teaching and motivating learners to succeed, including training apprentices, would be an advantage.

If you are a highly effective team player who has the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with students and colleagues we want you to come and join our team.

You should also be willing to work towards a TQFE (Teaching Qualification in Further Education) once employment has commenced if you do not already hold a relevant teaching qualification.

Person Specification

1. Working knowledge of Carpentry and Joinery

7. Computer literate
8. * Knowledge and/or experience of the use of electronic learning materials

1. SVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in Carpentry and Joinery
2. Up to date workplace experience in Carpentry and Joinery
3. Advanced Craft Carpentry and Joinery
4. HNC/D in one of the Construction or Built Environment disciplines

7. * Assessment experience
8. * Assessment qualification
9. * ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence)
10. * GTC registration
