Page Personnel Finance are recruiting a Payroll Supervisor for a large business in Nottingham. This would suit a senior payroll clerk who is looking for the next step in their career, or an experienced payroll supervisor.

Client Details

Our client is a large and growing business in Nottingham (just outside of the city centre).


The Payroll Supervisor will be reporting into the Payroll Manager, and will have a great support network of other Payroll Supervisors. You will be working in a fast paced payroll team of c. 14, but you will have interactions with the wider finance function. Once you have received all of the necessary training, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Supervising, coaching and supporting c. 3 - 6 Payroll Clerks
  • Analysing your team's performance and KPIs
  • Distributing work to your team
  • Working as part of the team to process the weekly and monthly payroll for c. 6,000 individuals
  • Prepare and import holiday pay
  • Export and import all timesheet data
  • Following all audit processes
  • Preparing pre BACs checks
  • Gross to net calculations through the system
  • Singing off BACs
  • Acting as a point of contact for payroll queries
  • Year to date adjustments on the payroll system
  • Submitting HMRC online submissions
  • Reconciling HMRC payments
  • Assist with end of year tax
  • Improving current processes
  • Working on ad hoc projects within payroll


To apply for this role you will:

  • have previous experience of working in payroll
  • have some (albeit minor) experience of supervising, coaching or mentoring others
  • have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • have excellent customer service skills
