Job Role: Software Tester Location: Manchester Type: Permanent Salary/Rate: £30,000 - £40,000 Start Date: ASAP Clearance: SC Clearance or Willing to Undergo Software Tester - Permanent - Manchester - £30,000 - £40,000 Our client is seeking a Software Test Engineer in the biometrics domain. Working on technically challenging projects, the successful candidate will have the ability to create innovative and cutting edge solutions which are of critical importance to our clients. Key Responsibilities: - Successful candidates will be asked to support the team in Scrum/Agile development, Software Testing, conducting research & development on new software test technologies and supporting the pursuit of new business - Our client is looking for an experienced technical Tester who is eager to learn, work well with change, is a team-player, self-learner and self-starter - The successful candidate will have experience across the software lifecycle and be looking to join a team working within dynamic environment performing unit level testing and integration testing of end-end services - The role will involve developing automated testing capabilities and testing use cases and interfaces - Working in an agile/devops/continuous delivery model - Microservices written primarily in Go with some Java, deployed in Docker containers and managed by OpenShift/Kubernetes in a Linux environment Essential Criteria: - Java or C/C++ and willing to learn Go - Use of SQL - Use of an IDE and a source code control system - Go - Kubernetes/OpenShift - Docker - Git - Jenkins - ActiveMQ - Python - Linux - REST - JMS - Working in an agile/devops/continuous delivery model Desired Criteria: - Camel - Prometheus - Kibana - Ansibleo Hit the 'Apply now' button to apply and to discuss this role further.
