My client based in Wellingborough are looking for a Accounts / Payroll Clerk to join their growing company.

Purpose of Role:

The Accounts / Payroll Clerk has a specific set of skills and experience to help manage the financial administration of the business, as well as an outstanding organisational ability to keep the accounts function running smoothly. Working independently for large parts of the week, the role requires professionalism, ability to work to tight deadlines, accuracy and attention to detail. Reporting directly to the General Manager the Accounts Payroll Clerk will take responsibility for a number of particularly important duties for the company as well as a series of more routine day to day tasks.

The Accounts / Payroll Clerk will be accountable for the majority of the company's bookkeeping, payroll and financial administration obligations daily, monthly, quarterly and annually. They will also be responsible for supporting the General Manager and the team in the day to day running of the office undertaking basic and routine administrative duties.

A comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping and sound financial management is essential. The Accounts / Payroll Clerk is a vital position within a small team, so they should expect to be involved in key financial decisions, sharing knowledge and supporting the General Manager and the team at every level from the very complex to the very routine.

Key Responsibilities:
1.Input and maintenance of weekly/monthly comprehensive payroll records
2.Pension auto-enrolment administration
3.Resolution of wage queries
4.Responding to Government Agency requests
5.Raising, distributing and receiving invoices
6.Liaising with external clients
7.Credit control
8.Company/financial year end calculation
9.PAYE and VAT returns
10.Accounts reconciliation
11.Financial forecasting and reporting
12.General administration duties to include: answering telephone and responding to email queries

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 16:30
Salary: £22,000 - £26,000
Location: Wellingborough
