Ormiston Denes is a thriving and ambitious academy, rapidly moving towards Ofsted Outstanding. Under new leadership we have just recorded our highest ever student outcomes, increasing the proportion of students gaining English and mathematics by twenty percentage points to 53%, with progress in both subjects well above the national average.

For an immediate start we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and hardworking individual to play a proactive and comprehensive role in the upkeep, appearance and maintenance of the academy site ensuring that our premises exceed the expectations of our students, families and wider community. Duties include both routine and reactive building and site maintenance and assistance with a rolling academy refurbishment programme. As a member of the Premises Team the post holder will liaise with contractors and suppliers and complete regular compliance testing. A knowledge & certified background in electrical or carpentry techniques and practises would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.

Academy life is never boring and may provide the foundation and inspiration for career development within the education sector. A sense of humour and a can-do attitude are a must.

If you are looking to work in a vibrant academy which expects nothing but the best for its students, places a high value on the professional development of its staff, and feel you have the qualities to meet the demands of this rewarding position, then we wish to hear from you.

In return Ormiston Denes Academy will offer you:

  • a thriving, innovative learning community, committed to excellence
  • a supportive, welcoming community of professionals
  • extensive development and collaboration opportunities, throughout the Ormiston network
