PR Executive – The Role
You will build long term and meaningful support for our work from new and existing high profile personalities, from established celebrities, to You-Tubers and micro-bloggers.
This will involve supporting the execution of our public communications strategy to expose our work to new public audiences in the UK. You will help manage and build relationships with existing personalities and their agents as well as develop a new range of digital and mico-influencers. You will also use external insight to identify the personalities with influence to promote our work further and utilise online and offline channels to monitor and reach out to new talent. Important will be the ability to maintain records of activities, monitor effectiveness and evaluate success. We will look to you to share learning to improve performance too.
PR Executive – Requirements
You must have experience in a communications role. Exposure to PR and celebrity engagement would be an advantage. You will be highly organised and used to managing effective systems and processes. You will have produced digital content, worked with content publishing tools, such as Communicator or MailChimp, and be social media savvy. You will also possess well developed communication skills and an understanding of monitoring and evaluating performance.
Who are we?
WWF believes in a future where people and nature thrive.
Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked.
That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.
WWF is at the heart of global activities in all these areas. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in the UK and around the world.
