A Tier One Bank based in London is looking for an Assistant Vice President, Financial Crime Project Manager to support the development and implementation of effective standards for Financial Crime Risk, including Anti Money Laundering, Sanctions, and Anti Bribery and Corruption. The role sits within Financial Crime Risk to ensure the bank meets its regulatory commitment and to strengthen its processes and systems to comply with regulatory pressures. The Programme will focus on transaction monitoring, transaction screening and customer screening to optimise the monitoring systems to identify and report money laundering activity and compare transactions or customer details to sanctions checklists. In this role you will plan, mobilise and direct project of medium to high complexity and scale from definition to closure, manage budgets and identifying outcomes and benefits, as well as being responsible for end to end delivery of a project or workstream as part of a larger programme. Day to day, this AVP, Financial Crime Project Manager will: * Plan effectively around delivery constraints and optimises the plan to maximise benefits and minimise risk. Develop the plan within constraints, considering the delivery approach, key milestones and dependencies within the plan, requirements and scope, effort and resources, budgets and quality * Ensure the baselined scope, requirements, benefits, schedule and budget are managed as outlined in Business Transformation Frameworks. Identify and intervene where there is slippage and variance from plan * Proactively monitor project execution to effectively identify risks/issues/dependencies as they arise throughout the project lifecycle. Take ownership of critical issues and ensure resolution within agreed timescales and implements mitigating plans against identified risks and issues. Escalate when needed to the Programme Manager (remaining calm, knowing when to escalate, and escalates with possible solutions). * Collaborate and build positive stakeholder and business partner relationships providing regular updates to resolve high priority issues affecting the project * Obtain buy-in from the project sponsor, Steering Committee and other business partner stakeholders for all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, quality assurance plans, budget, schedule, and scope changes * Define the approach and dealing with complex requirements and unique projects - often one off initiatives * Achieve benefits (cost reduction, revenue increase, strategic goals) set out in the business case You will have: * Experience working as a Project Manager within Financial Services, ideally within Financial Crime, Risk or Compliance * Demonstrable experience of delivering on time and on budget that achieve business case stated outcomes * Full end to end project life cycle exposure * A business aligned change background, not technology A fantastic opportunity for you as a Financial Crime Project Manager to further develop your skills and career in a global Tier One Investment Bank.
