A global leading engineering business are currently seeking a 3rd Line Support Technician to join their growing IT function including a WAN across more than 20 sites. This organisation currently has offices based across Europe and Globally and are recognised as a leader within their field. Currently the organisation has over 400 users in the UK and over 200 across Europe. The role of a 3rd line Support Technician will be a hands-on position as part of a small and growing IT team that currently supply mainly 3rd line support to the organisations end user base. This will include working with customers both face to face and remotely (via phone and email). You will help to deliver robust IT systems and solutions to support the effective operation of the business. The successful 3rd Line Support Technician will have: - In depth knowledge of core Microsoft technologies. - Windows 2008 Server. - TCP/IP, DNS, WINS and DHCP. - Microsoft System Centre Service Management (SCSM) - Citrix Xen technologies - Good understanding of cloud-based technologies. - Practical working experience of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and Cisco network technologies.
