Based in Wimbledon Head Office, our Controlling Department is the main provider of reports and supporting analysis to executive management and operational departments with relevant indicators for the targeted management of all business processes within the company.This is a newly created position to really make your mark in this exciting period of organisational alignment and growth.

What will you do?Managing a team responsible for generating and providing month end financial and management reports and planningSupporting management and operational departments in the targeted control of all relevant indicatorsDesigning and optimising advanced reports and tools used by various areas in the business that help improve decision making and improve the performance of the businessMonitoring and analysing KPIs, thereby identifying risks, errors, problems and improvement opportunitiesProviding quality assurance of systemsBeing responsible for the transparency of all positions in the Profit and Loss statement and further KPI’sSupporting management with the annual financial planningManipulating and interpreting large sets of business data using our Business Intelligence SoftwareInteracting with various stakeholders ranging from our International Head Office in Germany to UK Head Office Departments as well as our Regional Distribution CentresCarrying out Month and Year end processesAssisting with relevant projects and manage ad hoc queriesIncreasing the efficiency and quality of the Business Intelligence department; endeavour to streamline processesWhat will you need?Accounting/Financial reporting experience in a similar position with a proven aptitude for data analysis.Managerial experience is beneficialAbility to work to tight deadlines and to deliver accurate resultsAdvanced Excel and VBA skillsA self-motivated and proactive individual with a can-do attitude and the ability to work on projects and solve problems independentlyExcellent command of the English languageExcellent command of the German language - desirableAn innovator rather than an administrator with the ability to deliver the final product in a quality fashionWhat do we offer?£40,000 - £55,825 (subject to experience)10% London Weighting benefit (non contractual) for employees working within the M2535 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays)Private medical insuranceContributory pension scheme10% discount on all Lidl products, in all stores throughout the UKAccess to corporate discounts on a range of products and services (including holidays, home and garden products, leisure activities and more)Brilliant opportunities to take on more responsibility and long term career prospects
