About the role Our client is looking for a Paraplanning Manager to join our Financial Planning Team to carry our research, prepare technical reports for clients and provide support to the Advisers within the team. Job purpose: To be a client contact point, preparing client correspondence and attending client meetings if required. To produce and control the review of standard report documents for use by advisers. To manage the research process into the products / investments available within the market to allow relevant product / investment panels to be maintained and due diligence regularly updated. To take on management and mentoring responsibility for any paraplanners / graduate trainees employed by the team. To conduct research on clients' existing financial products and to identify planning opportunities to discuss with the adviser. Essential Minimum of 3 A Levels, or equivalent Diploma in Financial Planning or other equivalent level 4 financial planning qualification. To be able to implement an effective research and paraplanning process to support the work that advisers carry out. To manage less experienced individuals and motivate them to work effectively. Posses a broad knowledge of the industry and products and experience in carrying out research and preparing reports Good knowledge of MS office applications and IFA systems. Knowledge of fund rating/research systems, e.g. Financial Express/Morningstar A proactive team player who works well under pressure Approachable with excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal Desirable Degree, or equivalent Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning or Chartered Status. Experience of contributing to technical meetings and proactively looking for ways to improve the service offered to clients. Working knowledge of XPlan (IFA back office system ) and Cash flow modelling tools. Excellent knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
