About the role:

As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide strategic finance support to our client and its subsidiaries and you will embed financial planning, commercial thinking and budgetary control. You’ll assist and support the Director of Finance in providing quality financial reporting to the Group Boards and Committees, Executive team and Directors team and be a pro-active member of the Finance Management Team.

They are looking to appoint to two roles and each will be responsible for managing a small team. For clarity, one role is responsible for providing support to the Executive Director of Growth and Assets and the Executive Director of Finance, and includes Capital and grant accounting. The other role will support the Executive Director of Customer Services and the Chief Executive’s Directorate and includes rents and service charges.

About You:

To be successful as a Finance Business Partner you will have proven management accounting and financial accounting experience, displaying responsibility at a senior level in a substantial Finance department as well as staff management and motivation. You will have experience of dealing with internal customers and external stakeholders and preparing and monitoring of financial information using multiple and complex data sources.

You must hold a recognised professional accountancy qualification with working knowledge of finance business partnering and the regulatory requirements of working with the context of a registered housing provider.. You will have strong IT and excel skills including the manipulation of large volumes of data, use of pivot tables, and the ablility to swiftly sense check outcomes.

You may have experience of dealing with Board / Committee members and meetings, managing change in a complex environment, driving the efficiency agenda and Value for Money, and effective management of resources including staff and financial budgets. If you have knowledge of accounting in a regulated environment with a strong understanding of integrated financial and operational systems it would be advantageous for the role, as would knowledge of the HCA grant regime and setting social housing and affordable housing rents.
