The Role You will be a member of our Application Support Team, working as an application Support Analyst in a challenging environment supporting clients that are mercilessly quality conscious. Responsibilities of the Application Support Analyst - (London, SQL, TCP/IP): - Provide business critical technical support to our clients, who are high profile financial institutions, utilities and funds - Ensure that all requests are carried out in a professional, disciplined, efficient and process-oriented manner - Contribute actively to Technical Client Management & Support operations and wider company initiatives - Train and mentor junior team members over time - Help evolve the team's processes and policies You must have: - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, both internally and in client-facing situations - Committed to delivering excellent client service; demonstrating a great capacity to manage multiple work streams across multiple stakeholders - Very good at establishing and maintaining relationships, internally and with clients - a good team player - Sound persuasion and conflict management skills with people of different levels, backgrounds and personality styles - Disciplined and detail-oriented and ensures that all work performed is planned, executed and checked thoroughly, checks work completed by others and shows a great attitude and strong commitment to quality and excellence - Excellent diagnostic skills; good at thinking problems through and solving them and pragmatic when needed Qualifications: Essential - Dedicated to delivering outstanding client service - Practical experience of troubleshooting applications - Understanding of networking fundamentals - Working knowledge of Windows XP/7/2003/2008 - Ability to manage time, prioritise work, work under pressure and complete multiple tasks effectively - Demonstrate a passion for technology and the ability to pick knowledge up quickly; a fast learner Desirable: - Experience/theoretical knowledge of SQL Server - A Computer Science or other IT-related degree - Professional IT qualifications This is a fantastic opportunity to join a truly successful leading player with exciting Energy Trading Solutions and playing a key part in the continued strategic growth of the business and develop a career in sales.
