This is an outstanding opportunity for a D&T Teacher. Pupils currently follow a bespoke curriculum across KS3 and KS4. This D&T teacher is required to teach across the age and ability range and will be expected to contribute to after school revision classes where necessary. Also, the ability to teach Resistant Materials would be an advantage. The successful D&T teacher will be Secondary trained (PGCE and QTS) and it is imperative that this teacher can deliver a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' class on a consistent basis to keep up with the current teaching standards.
To apply for this job, you must:
- Hold UK QTS, QTLS, or an overseas teaching qualification
- Have good subject knowledge as a D&T teacher
- Be able to manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises
- Prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities
- Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development
