Operating as a key second line of defence, you will be contributing to the continual improvement of the risk management framework, culture and practices. Ensuring the risk management framework continues to support the businesses' growth plans. Actively managing relationships in the business to continually promote risk management with the first line functions. Responsibilities - Participate and actively engage in the performance management process to attain and maintain competence within the role - Comply with applicable rules and regulations as stated by the regulator and set out in our internal policies - Responsible for identifying, escalating and mitigating risks - Subject matter expert in Operational risk having worked on RCSAs, risk incidents, KRIs, KPIs and Risk Registers. Preferably within Asset Management - A person with excellent stakeholder management skills and a team-player - A strategic thinker who is able to understand the challenges within the risk function and have a positive attitude and willingness to take on diverse tasks - Maintain and continuously improve the Risk Management Framework Policies and Procedures documents - Responsible for the update of the risk register(s), either directly or in cooperation with risk register owners and risk owners (as appropriate) - To assist in conducting RCSAs across the BM Group across different business units - Assist the Group Head of Risk in the finalisation of the ICAAP document - Assist the Group Head of Risk in submission of stress testing, scenario analysis and reverse stress testing reports to the regulator - To work with the Group Head of Risk in updating the Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Plans - Coordinate inputs and data sources for the risk dashboards, ensuring consistency with the underlying risk registers and risk information Key Requirements - Strong communication skills both orally and in writing - Ability to build strong relations with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels - Ability to influence and negotiate, especially when delivery a challenging message - Sound understanding of general risk management practices and disciplines, including the development, production and delivery of risk registers, RCSA's, incident management and risk reporting methods - A good understanding of the current and future regulatory landscape - Highly organised and able to manage own workload and simultaneous tasks to meet stretching targets and strict deadlines - Knowledge of FCA's approach to regulation
