Axon Moore is currently representing a highly successful, market leading business based in Manchester City Centre who is looking for a highly experienced Finance and Office Manager to join their long standing, small finance team. Due to the nature of the company and the role, this opportunity would particularly suit those looking for a long term role in a stable and well established company.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller duties will be varied and would ideally suit someone who has previous experience within a similar role

Finance Duties;
  • Posting journals, including accruals and prepayments
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with preparation for year-end
  • Preparing analysis reports for presentation at board meetings
  • Ensuring the swift payment of invoices and resolution of finance related queries;
  • Quarterly VAT return
  • Coding and posting of purchase invoices, allocating payments and monitoring aged creditors
  • Raising monthly sales invoices, credit control and reconciling income
  • Posting bank and cash transactions and reconciling monthly
  • Preparation payroll for external provider
  • Ensuring all PAYE/NIC/Tax are paid in a timely manner
  • General administrative tasks including stationery, scanning, printing, post, meeting visitors, answering the telephone and filing
  • Health and safety administration and dealing with the landlord and contractors on facilities administration

  • Have strong Excel skills
  • Be able to work fairly autonomously in a small team
