Technical / Data Architect (SQL Server) - 3 months - £420 UMB / £335 PAYE - East Cardiff.


*Security Clearance: BPSS + DS*

Take responsibility for managing and updating data models, data architecture, data dictionaries, configuration and reference data catalogues. Work with business leads to identify and document data and reporting requirements.
Design and maintain data models and manage data integration, performing data quality analysis and profiling tasks. Track business requirements and ensure that these can be matched from a data perspective.
Take ownership of data related design decisions throughout the delivery process, including selection of tools to support data architecture activities. Ensure that data-specific project activities align technically and that the architecture is consistent from a data perspective.
Ensure compliance with data related standards and key architectural principles. Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver complex IT projects to tight deadlines.

*Degree in information and IT related subject or equivalent qualification or experience.
*TOGAF 9 Foundation or equivalent experience.
*Ideally Microsoft Certified Database Administrator or equivalent experience.

Experience Required:
*Experienced in delivering high quality technical and architectural documentation (TOGAF standards) for database products (Ideally SQL Server)
*Enterprise architecture experience and familiarity with EA frameworks.
*Understanding of secure architectures and designs.
*Experience of working in a high availability 24x7 environment.
*Writing complex Data manipulation statements using T-SQL as stored procedures, views and functions.
*Normalisation techniques and ER-diagramming to design and create scalable, high-performance database.
*Good communicator and mentor for in-house BA and technical staff.
