Service Desk Engineer £21,000 - £23,000 pa An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Service Desk Engineer to join a very reputable and well established company based in Chelmsford. The role of the Service Desk Engineer is to provide technical support for all general desktop and user issues including software, hardware, internet issues, printers and phones. You will work closely with the Service Desk manager to provide a structured service desk. There will be an element of shift work from time to time - on a rota basis. Using ITIL best practices, you will: - Provide support to the end users in as timely manner as possible following through to completion at all times whilst keeping all parties informed on progress - Maintain Service Desk and other records accurately - Deploy desktop hardware (printers, laptop etc) - Carry out daily administration procedures - Escalate user and technical issues to other teams as appropriate Personal Attributes required: - Strong IT troubleshooting skills. - Excellent communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. - Self-motivated with ability to use initiative. - A highly customer focused mind-set For more information, please apply or contact Helena at Pure on [Phone number removed]
