We are looking for an experienced, dynamic 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a pupil in our outstanding EYFS class. Some experience or knowledge of working with pupils with ASD, hypermobility and language delay would be beneficial. You will need to have a flexible approach and be prepared to work as part of a friendly and happy team of staff.

We are very proud of our Forest School and use every opportunity to link learning in EYFS to the outdoors, so our ideal person for this role would be someone who is happy to put on wellies and promote our outdoor learning. Some knowledge of Forest School is desirable but not essential.

The school is a single form entry primary school in a modern building.The school benefits from spacious classrooms and plentiful resources with exciting school grounds, incorporating a secret garden, an adventure playground, a pond area and a large sports field. Community involvement is considerable with after school clubs and a breakfast club, together with close links with the parish church of St Laurence, Hawkhurst. Our pupils are eager to learn and succeed. Our goal is to EXTEND HORIZONS for everyone and this is achieved through plenty of trips to places of interest and visits from outside speakers, as well as the opportunity to participate in sports tournaments and events. We have a specialist teacher of Music and Physical Education in KS2. Many children learn a musical instrument and pupils show evident enjoyment in their playing and singing. The staff team is friendly and caring. We encourage professional development in areas that will enhance the professional skills of our teachers as well as support staff and improve the aims of the school.
