Based in The City of London, ROBERT HALF are recruiting a Business Modeller/ Financial Analyst for the UK's largest retailer at present

This role is a very commercial position assisting with decision making for changes to the operational model for this client. Based in Central London, you will be a member of a team of 7, reporting to a Head of Finance- great guy who joined earlier this year from another large retailer. The main duties of this role are:
Develop financial models to support complex and critical decision making.Source and populate financial models with assumptions and variables. Provide challenge to stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of the assumptions and variables. Provide finance expertise and analysis when classifying costs and benefits, ensuring their appropriate accounting treatment. Provide scenario analysis, with interpretation and insight. Introduce a common approach to financial models that will allow the input and output from each one to be utilised on other initiatives across the businessThis position will include responsibility for invest/ don't invest and negotiations with the operation teams!

My client is looking for a ACA/ CIMA qualified candidate with 3-5 years post qualified experience in industry. any industry- not necessarily retail. You do not need to be an outstanding modeller but you should have great commercial understanding and come up with new ideas and initiative to challenge
