The jobholder will have experience of developing SQL tools in the (MS) dot net environment using SQL and C#; in particular using MS SQL Server Management Studio and MS Visual Studio. The jobholder will be working alongside other members of the Actuarial teams. Insurance and actuarial experience are both preferred but are not necessarily required. The jobholder will be expected to act as the team's expert in these areas, and will be responsible for understanding the requirements of the team and designing, building and maintaining a variety of tools to facilitate these requirements. Applicants will also be expected to support the capital modelling team within the Actuarial department in a similar way. It is likely that the role will initially focus on collating, consolidating and rationalising the existing tools, and over time will focus on development of new tools and additional features for existing tools.
