Lead Web Developer - London - £65-85,000 - Software House I am currently looking for a Lead Web Developer to join a leading software house based in London's Digital Hub. The product is written for property owners, managing agents, occupiers and local councils. It covers functions associated with the collection of rents and other charges from tenants, payment to landlords or suppliers, and service charge control and reconciliation. It is being completely transformed from a Windows based client to a fully layered application encompassing a new web based UI, using RESTful services to produce JSON which is then consumed by the web browser. The web product is designed to be a Single Page Application within an Angular framework. The purpose of this role is to design and extend the web UI in the following web components in order to produce a fully functional Web UI version of the application. Stack: - Angular - JavaScript - Ajax - RESTful Services - Web sockets - HTML5 - CSS3 Main Duties - Run sprints and standups for Web development team - Keep in contact with RESTful services team to ensure they are providing what is necessary - Report any problems to the Development Team Manager - Keep abreast of developments ensuring that good standards have been put in place and they are adhered to - Analyse the requirements and develop strategies for the development of the Web product including designing templates - Maintain and enhance the existing application where necessary - Work with the formal web design in order to produce a product consummate with the look and feel of the product requirements - Training other developers where necessary Requirements of Role This role is largely programming and analysis based with some requirement for Team Management. It involves liaising with managers and designers where necessary to obtain knowledge of requirements. The candidate must be able to use their initiative to make good decisions, drawing on analytical skills and previous experience in order to effectively produce solutions. The ability to work both independently and within a small team is essential, as is a willingness to work extra hours when necessary in order to keep to development timescales.
