We are currently looking for an Engine Integration Project Engineer to work for a Major Automotive Organisation based in the West Midlands Reference No: J0011394 Job Title: Engine Integration Project Engineer Experience: Excellent communication skills together with a good level of understanding of engine systems and packaging within the engine and vehicle environment Location: West Midlands Rate: From £20.00 to £22.17 per Hour Ltd Co. Hours: 40 Hours Per Week The Role: *As part of an established, motivated and fast-moving team, the successful candidate would work for an experienced team leader to help deliver world class engine systems and components across several applications. *Delivery scale would be from design concept to production launch. *Supporting the lead Integration Engineer to co-ordinate the design and release teams (both internal and external) to deliver identified solutions within conflicting workloads, schedules and priorities. *Supporting base engine design reviews, functional reviews & Virtual Series builds. *Ensuring that key health check metrics are correct and fully up-to-date (trackers - reporting to the Principal Engineer for Senior Management trackers). *Ensuring that key issues are escalated appropriately. *Additional areas of responsibility: Driving vehicle-related base engine ESO through all vehicle RMDV decks. Skills Required: 3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED 1) Excellent communication skills together with a good level of understanding of engine systems and packaging within the engine and vehicle environment. 2) Working knowledge of key IT systems (RMDV2, AIMS, GPIRS, WERS) is essential (external candidates to have similar working experience). 3) PC skills including PowerPoint, project, Excel and Word. Experience Required: *Strong understanding of design requirements and constraints an engine and vehicle environment. *Excellent communication skills, adaptable and flexible. *Ability to prioritise workload and lead issue resolution either individually or as part of a cross-functional team. *Working knowledge of problem solving and quality tools. *High drive and self-motivated. *Able to deliver with minimum supervision and able to act on initiative. *Degree qualified (or significant application experience). Experience Preferred: *Vis-mockup experience desirable *Awareness of manufacturing processes associated with engine components and engine assembly. *Experience of component packaging, and ability to identify and support the resolution of packaging and installation issues.
