Our client is one of the leading private equity firms in the UK with some truly high profile investments. They are currently looking for a high caliber accounts assistant. The role is initially on a six month contract but with the very real prospect of going permanent.


* Processing of supplier invoices
* Key point of contact for any supplier queries
* Gaining approval of invoices from management
* Determining account codes for posting to ledger
* Preparation of payment instructions
* Present prepared payment instruction and supplier invoice for review
* Monthly bank account reconciliations
* Assist with month end duties - Accruals, Prepayments
* Maintain running cash balance and forward expenses expense forecast
* Post other cash payments (e.g. payroll) to ledger
* Reconcile cash balances monthly to ledger balances
* Produce month end Trial balance
* Maintain TBs for company (reconciled monthly)
* Monthly reports
* Prepare monthly financial pack (P&L and Balance Sheet)
* Ad hoc projects as they arise
Qualifications and experience * Studying AAT or equivalent
* SAGE 50 accounts experience
* Some prior experience of working in an accounts department, preferably in financial services although this is not essential.

Person Specification

At least 18 months in a similar role in a professional environment

Either currently studying towards or a desire to study towards the ACCA or CIMA
