My client is a world respected consultancy in search of a Principal/Associate Engineer to support the Infrastructure & Highways discipline in their Winchester office. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work with a highly respectable organisation known for their design work on bridges and roads in urban, rural, commercial, industrial, educational and residential contexts, along with buildings for airports and railway stations. The role: - Responsible for running the creation of technical design information including reports, drawings and specifications for the infrastructure associated projects - Working with customers to recognise requirements for solutions and to deliver them adequately - Assist with the construction of proposals for new commissions, along with project management and financial control within projects - Ability to work without supervision, using own initiative and supporting junior members of the team - Provide technical reviews and inspections of design information and reports prepared by the team's engineers - Planning and developing project solutions with distinctive challenges The successful candidate will have: - BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering - Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer, MICE - Full understanding of projects' contractual, financial and commercial arrangements and their influence on design solutions - Familiarity in the design and project management of roads and drainage for residential, commercial and retail developments and responsibility for the production of detailed design information, technical reports, drawings, tender documents and specifications - Proficiency of industry standard software including Windes, PDS, AutoCAD and Civils 3D - Experience using design standards such as Sewers for Adoption, Manual for Streets, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges and BSEN Standards - Recognised examples in effective design delivery of highways and drainage infrastructure to adoptable standards including the successful negotiation of Section 104, Section 38 and Section 278 Agreements - Supporting BIM/3D Modelling skills, increasing the team portfolio and improving efficiency through use of engineering software - Sharing technical knowledge between the companies offices and expanding their portfolio in 3D utilities coordination This role offers a competitive salary along with a range of company benefits and career development.
