Regional Sales Engineer c£42,500.00 per annum DOE Car, laptop, mobile and iPad Potential to earn 5% of salary for an OTP against UK total sales target and a further 5% of salary for an OTP against regional sales target i.e. 10% OTE For over 80 years, out client has earned a reputation as an inventor and pioneer of steelwork clamping systems. They provide an exclusive range of fixings from steelwork and support to flooring and decking. Their products embody a unique concept, creating fundamental advantage over traditional methods of welding or drilling. They are now looking to recruit a Regional Sales Engineer to join their team to cover Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hereford, Gloucestershire and South Wales, the successful candidate will ideally live between these areas. Duties: - Identify project opportunities - Contact and visit key specifiers and distributors - Identify opportunities for products to be specified - Track and progress all specifications by visit and/or telephone and record the outcome in CRM - To ensure that all distributors are properly trained, carry the correct and right amount of stock - Develop close working relationships with all aspects of the distributors business - Present at group presentations - Be able to present a sales argument clearly and maintain professionalism at all times - Manage all enquiries, projects and specifications - Travel areas that cover Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hereford, Gloucestershire and South Wales Experience Required: - You must have as a minimum a mechanical, structural or civil technical qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) and be used to dealing primarily with structural, mechanical or civil consulting engineers, specifiers and architects and to a lesser degree steelwork fabricators and contractors - You must be used to managing and motivating a network of distributors - You must have a background for the steel construction, plant engineering, mechanical handling, structural engineering or civil engineering - However CVs will be considered from qualified engineers for the above market sectors without sales experience who are looking for a career change into Technical Sales Personal Profile: - Highly motivated with and enthusiastic and pro-active personality - Excellent communications skills and confidence to speak in public for group presentations - Strong team work ethic and have the ability to motivate others - Have an analytical mind - Ability to work on a stand-alone basis and as part of a team Please note that due to the large number of applications we receive we are unable to respond to all unsuccessful applications.
