PHP, LAMP, MYSQL, PDO, Graduate Developer, Linux Development, Opensource, Oxfordshire, Entry-level Developer, Programmer, PHP Programmer, Javascript, CSS, HTML Chapman Tate Associates seeks a Junior/Graduate PHP Developer to join this established and internationally based IT Consultancy within their North Oxfordshire based offices. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work with a close-knit development team that will work on their in-house ERP / BI system. My client has a presence throughout America and Europe, with a group turnover of £20million. Responsibilities for the role will include: -Software development on our core internal and external software product -Supporting colleagues to develop top quality, well tested software. -Contribute to project plans to ensure completion of projects on time. -Involvement with future architecture and process planning within the team -Provide technical support and training to other departments and staff. -Day-to-day support issues. Candidates should have the following experience: -A Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential. -PHP development experience is required. Specifically, with PHP Classes, PDO data objects and normal PHP programming fundamentals. -Have good programming etiquette. Such as documenting your code, including comments in your code and following good coding practices. -Experience with front end development. Specifically, HTML5 and CSS 3, but also JavaScript with JQuery and JQueryUI experience being preferred. -Ability to code MySQL, and MS-Transact SQL with an emphasis on performance and data integrity. -Ability to maintain and design relational databases -An understanding of software development and the system development life cycle process. -Ability to project manage throughout the whole development life cycle Good problem solving skills. System admin experience and ability to maintain a server. Specifically, with Windows Server 2012, but also some Linux experience would be good but not required. -Knowledge of networking and switching, including IP sub netting and VLANS etc. is good to have.
