Chase and Holland are recruiting exclusively for a Financial Controller for an extremely successful SME as they continue to expand internationally. Having realised a 33% increase in sales in the last 18 months, their Group FD now requires a Financial Controller to manage and lead the Finance function and drive the financial performance of the UK operating business. This is an exceptional opportunity for an established Financial Controller or Finance Manager looking to join a growing business where there is potential for progression. The successful candidate will lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial information including actuals, forecasts and budgets and will work closely with the European MD and Sales Director. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the UK Finance team of 8-10 including an Accountant, sales and purchase ledger and credit control - Oversee the production of monthly Management Accounts by the Finance Manager - Prepare the UK Finance pack including P and L, balance sheet and other financial reports - Prepare the monthly Board report - Oversee and improve cashflow reporting and forecasting for the UK - Manage the working capital of the UK operating company to within target thresholds - Produce monthly Sales Reports with the Sales Director - Develop and continuously improve business reporting to assist with the UK management team - Assist the Group Accountant in the preparation of rebate accruals - Assist the Group Accountant with intercompany re-charges and royalty payments - Complete year end reporting for the UK operating company and assist in the preparation of the Statutory Accounts - Co-ordinate the annual audit of the UK accounts - Preparation of annual budgets for the UK operating company ( P and L, cash flow, balance sheet) - Preparation of quarterly reforecasts for the UK operating business We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of managing a team who is either CIMA/ACCA or ACA qualified ideally with some exposure of stock management and distribution internationally. You will be a pro-active individual with the ability to work alone or as part of a team who will be keen to support the growth and development of new cost centres with two planned in the US and Europe by 1st quarter of 2018.
