Unique opportunity for a Linux Software Architect to join a software house in South Manchester that have been recognised as both one of the UK's fastest growing tech companies and one of the best companies to work for in the UK. The company have been trading for around 10 years and operate in an incredibly fast-growing industry so their flagship software platform has close to 10 million users worldwide and their client list includes global banks, ecommerce giants and some of the world's biggest brands. The platform is an enterprise scale, cloud hosted solution built on Windows, it's been incredibly successful and due to this they're now offering the unique opportunity for a Software Architect with experience of Linux and C/C++ to join them at the start of the next phase of their product expansion and lead the design, architecture and development of a new greenfield Linux product offering. If you joined them then you'd the first person in to the new team and would be responsible for rapidly building and delivering an MVP to market, you'd spend time with the CTO and Head of R&D on a daily basis and would be given the opportunity to play a key role in shaping a world class, scalable, enterprise grade solution from scratch. As part of the role you'd be given the opportunity to research, prototype and on-board new technologies where appropriate, use agile tools and techniques, manage non-functional requirements, architecture definition, architecture evaluation, technology selection and set best practice so there's plenty of scope to influence how things are done. Requirements * Experience mentoring and guiding a team on all things technical * Experience of Linux development in C/C++ * Experience developing multithreaded software * Experience of shell scripting * Experience of Agile (Scrum) * Excellent soft skills In return they're offering a starting salary of up to £70,000 plus a long list of company benefits including free lunches, remote working, flexible hours, private health care, private pension, share scheme and plenty more.
