Office Manager / Bookkeeper (12 month Maternity Cover) Location: Farringdon EC1. Hours: 30 hours per week (flexible on times and days) Salary: £25,000 per annum (+ Benefits) based on a 30 hour week An exciting opportunity to join a medium sized well established, yet growing, Consulting Structural Engineering Practice to work alongside our existing Admin Assistant during a period of maternity leave for our Office Manager. Description of Role - Maintaining bank records, performing bank reconciliations, dealing with the bank on financial matters and keeping in house project management system updated. Making payments to approved suppliers, checking payments and ensuring correct paperwork. Invoicing clients, credit control and running of salaries in association with the Accountant. - Office management and HR duties. - Maintaining and updating all Health & Safety records. - The Office Manager / Bookkeeper will maintain general day to day running of the office. Skills Required The ideal candidate will have: - The Office Manager / Bookkeeper will have a strong finance and administration knowledge and experience. - A 'will do' attitude and happy to get involved in a variety of duties. - Willingness to work with all levels of employees to ensure a smooth running of the office. - Self motivation, be well organised and be able to prioritise tasks. - Banking knowledge and a knowledge of Sage 50 accounts is required. - A broad knowledge of office management with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
