A global leader in automotive equipment is looking for a Project Tooling Engineer - Slush & Foamingto join their team in Hagenbach, Germany. Mission title: PTE Slush & Foaming plus post processing Main Mission Description: - This service request is for Slush & foaming plus post processing Process Tool Engineering - Will be in charge of the tool pre study, Study phase (until TOP milling is given) tool building phase and implementation into the plant (final inspection), to reach FIS targets of Quality, Cost, Delivery within FCP & PMS requirements and to deliver components according to drawings/specifications Main Responsibilities: Scope of work, Time Frame - Implement the standard process of tool development (FCP instructions) along PMS phase - Build, update & monitor the complete timing plan for tools and processes to reach SOP in time. Responsibility starts from product feasibility and simplification studies, which leads to robust and simple products and processes according to customer specification within FIS production system requirements (FCP documents) - Build, update & monitor the progress of tool & process convergence to targets (FCP document) - Reports progress through standard document described in FCP instruction (FIS & Tool AQP dashboard) Means / Support - Manage the necessary support in terms of expertise or simulation when needed (GTS, CAE, Purchasing, Logistics, Program, PML, PDL) - Receives support within his Technology Engineering Domain & Experts - Capitalizes experience on the development through lessons learnt process & KM creation within his Technology Engineering Domain Tool / Process Definition - Defines tools & process specificities & targets (FCP document). - Ensure product feasibility by existing state of the art and standards in tools & process. - Provide input for simplification of product to reach reliable tool & process definition. - Ensure respect of FIS tool standard (FCP document) - Participation to the RFQ and tool maker selection process - Commit to necessary steps to kick off tool (SSR, SNC, Kick Off, Pre Study and Study) - Translate product key characteristics into process parameters. - Lead Tool FMEA if any. - Lead grain mapping activity with grain supplier, toolmaker and customer for visible grained parts if any. - Tool / Process development - Track progress and convergence of all necessary entry data to keep Quality, Cost and Delivery in line with initial plan (FCP document) - Tool list indicator ("TLI") + Highlights (TTP) + TFU (Tool follow up) must be weekly updated and put in the right place. - Ensure that trials are performed within the closest conditions of those of the production plant (availability of raw material, packaging & checking fixtures). - Raise (Check Lists & PDCA) & implement all actions defined after each trial to reach Quality, Cost and Delivery in line with initial plan (FCP document) - Liaise between program & toolmaker to ensure tuning & implementation, ECR of product modification - Ensure all checks before tool transfers from toolmaker to plant (FCP document) including scrap level and cycle time - Responsible to respect the schedule - Warn when deviations, use the appropriate procedures of warning when applicable Tool / Process Validation: - Ensure all checks & R@R, MPT, EMPT at plant (FCP document) - Ensure transfer of proper documentation to the plant together with the tool - Daily update and finalize the tool follow up documentation to prepare Lessons learned process (FCP document) - Monitors plant performance with the daily KPIs reported by the plant - Raise program LL, potential KM or standard update or creation proposal - Ensure conformity of the produced part versus the product specification defined by Product Line, through process parameters optimization. - Give process inputs to Pilot Plant through standard documentation. - Lead appearance approval for the engineering team (on virgin and aged parts). - Lead geometry validation for the engineering team (injected part) If you feel you have the required skills, then please get in contact with Mihaela Rebenciuc at Contechs today.
