Frazer John Recruitment Digital & Marketing Practice is proud to be retained exclusively by this national services business based in Greater Manchester in their search for a Chief Marketing Officer.

The organisation has grown and is continuing to grow both organically and by acquisition. The Chief Marketing Officer is a newly created role that will be pivotal in underpinning and supporting the organisations continued sales growth.

This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact as part of a driven team, developing, implementing and refining the B2B marketing strategy focussing on the SME market and drive the sales growth.

The Chief Marketing Officer will build and improve on the existing marketing strategy to deliver business growth by driving client attraction, retention and maximising cross sell.

This role will also involve leading a small marketing team, however a hands on approach is essential: from managing marketing campaigns (digital and traditional) to monitoring competitor activity and developing marketing materials.

Create, implement and be accountable for the company's marketing strategy to drive new business and cross sell activity by working closely with the CEO, Sales and Commercial Directors
Ensure the effective production and delivery of sales-orientated promotional campaigns as needed to drive Sales via digital and traditional routes to market
Create a clear and compelling brand proposition, ensuring our brand is well communicated across all relevant marketing channels and there is a clear strategy and approach to continued brand development
Respond effectively to customer and competitor insight as required to drive improvements to our operating model and performance
Create a clear and engaging customer journey ensuring we maximise our opportunity to drive sales from our existing customer base
Identify key areas of potential development, lead a range of innovative campaigns to deliver sales and drive profitability and growth
Manage all ongoing projects and day-to-day marketing activity

Key Skills:
Track record in developing, executing and leading a marketing strategy
Previous experience in a head of brand/ marketing management role or a proven track record in a senior role
A track record in delivering successful B2B marketing campaigns via a subscription operating model is essential
Experience of working within the Utilities Sector is desirable
Experience of delivering and implementing a marketing strategy to high street clients is also desirable
Creative hands on marketer with excellent knowledge of marketing channels including digital and traditional
Experience of leading a team of internal marketing professionals
Experience of using outsourced marketing providers to deliver key internal services
Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work in fast paced environment
