Job Title: RF/ Wi-fi Engineer Location: Oxfordshire Experience required: RF / Wi-Fi Role: Office based & Field based Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + package Our client is a well-established, leading Technology company. The company provides provides Wi-Fi and business telephony solutions to the care sector and various enterprise sectors. There is now a requirement for an experienced RF / WiFi Engineer to join the Engineering Team. Summary The post holder will undertake a variety of field and office based RF/Wifi design, implementation, operations and support task. The role will complement and support the existing engineering team who pride themselves in delivering installation, maintenance and support of Hosted Telephony, PABX, CTI, WiFi, VOIP and IT/Data Networking LAN/WAN, with additional focus on delivering messaging solutions into specific sectors. Duties and Responsibilities *Provide support to internal and external customers within agreed timescales and specific SLA's *Undertake network installation, configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers and Wi-fi Access points to project specification *Update company CRM to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity of support *Implement new feature releases and upgrades ensuring customer networks are kept up to date and managed within customer expectations. *Conduct pre- and post-site surveys adhering to best practices *Undertake travel by driving to clients to undertake configuration and commissioning of networks and hardware as well as to undertake fault resolution *Install, configure and maintain desktop and mobile hardware and software *Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders *Manage and log tickets (to meet SLAs) *Asset database management *Support other areas of the business where necessary or as directed *Provide Out of Hours support to customers/engineers on a rota basis Essential Skills/Proven Background *Must have strong RF/Wi-fi knowledge *Proven experience of troubleshooting and supporting wireless infrastructure and devices (Access Points, Wireless Controllers) *Proven experience in the Implementation and deployment of Access Points in a business environment *Proven experience of Installations, support and upgrades *Must know how to model and do heat maps *Participate in internal and client facing meetings, prepare reports and presentations *Candidate would need to be a point of contact for escalation *Experience with major vendor wireless technologies: ACWA, CCWA, CWNP, CWNA, AP's, 802.1x desired A Clean valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.
