Graduate Software Developer and Support Analyst Location: Port Solent, Portsmouth My client is an award winning and very successful ISP who are looking for a graduate who has recently graduated in a software related degree. Be that via email, on the phone or simply by an informal chat. What type of things will I do? The team is working on a number of projects including our CPQ (configuration, pricing and quoting) system which integrates into Salesforce. The role will focus on driving this project forward. What skills will you learn? We want your enthusiasm so you can learn and build upon your technical skills. The Gamma Development team use Microsoft SQL databases with .Net front ends. Previous experience of both these and integration into Salesforce would be desirable. Experience of an understanding of the principles of the following would be ideal Required - Knowledge and experience in the following front-end development skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including jQuery) - Knowledge of C# development - Experience using version control, preferably GIT - Knowledge of databases and SQL, preferably T-SQL - Familiar with the modern web technology landscape Desired - Experience in ASP.NET MVC - Familiar with software development principles and practices (SOLID, design patterns etc) - Experience with or good understanding of SOA based architectures - Experience using a graphics package such as Photoshop - Experience in Unit Testing (NUnit, Moq or similar) - Exposure to or understanding of agile development practices - Knowledge of Responsive Design and appreciation of UX - Experience with integrating into Salesforce Other key skills: - Problem solving, taking ownership of tasks and grasping the bigger picture. - A good communicator with the ability to turn customer requirements into a functional specification and subsequently into a fully working solution. - Creative flair with great attention to detail.
