Recent projects have included designing and manufacturing a robotic UV mobile sterilization unit for healthcare applications, prototyping a novel surgical system, and developing remote diagnostics and monitoring for industrial breathing apparatus. They have a wide variety of clients and are always working on new, challenging and interesting projects. They are a close-knit multidisciplinary team looking to expand their software expertise to accommodate their growing number of clients. The Position They are looking for engineers with embedded C software programming skills who can demonstrate initiative, a passion to learn and a willingness to 'get stuck in'. As a software engineer in their small team you'll enjoy: - working on a variety of projects and innovative products - learning the 'ins and outs' of the latest ARM microcontroller embedded platforms - flexible working patterns, a great work/life balance and supportive colleagues. Requirements: - experience writing C code for embedded systems - familiarity with modern microcontrollers / processors - awareness of software development life-cycles - familiarity with IDE debugging tools, digital scopes, logic analysers etc - an ability to understand schematics and a variety of communications protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB...) And don't forget to tell them your about your broader computing skills and hobbyist experience too (Linux? RaspPi? App development?), as enthusiasm and proven technical aptitude are what they are after. The Location: They are based in the beautiful Test Valley countryside, halfway between Salisbury and Southampton and within commuting range of Portsmouth and Bournemouth.
