Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)Bedford£38,000 - £41,000 + Overtime Opportunities + Pension + Holidays + Training OpportunitiesShift: 4 on, 4 off - rotating days and nightsMaintenance Engineer required for a growing manufacturer who supply to a range of well-known food brands. This is a great opportunity to get involved within a site who have substantial plans for investment.To apply for the role you will be a mechanically biased maintenance engineer from ANY manufacturing industry. Candidates who have basic electrical knowledge will have a considerable advantage. Ex forces candidates are invited to apply.The role will primarily involve reactive maintenance on production machinery. Mechanically you will be working on hydraulics, pneumatics and conveyors. On site there are basic PLCs and HMI controls but most of the electrical work will be changing motors and contactors. The company are willing to train and upskill purely mechanical engineers. Applicants for this role must be prepared to work in a dusty environment.The Engineering department have just secured a large investment bonus and there are endless training opportunities to technically progress, there will also be opportunities for managerial progression in the future. This is a great opportunity for an engineer to join a reputable and growing company.The Role*Predominantly mechanical maintenance on production machinery*90% reactive maintenance*Pre-planned maintenance will become increasingly frequent as investments are made*4 on 4 off - days and nights The Person*Mechanically biased maintenance engineer*Ideally have basic 3 phase electrics experience*Ideally transfer from a manufacturing background, however this is NOT essential*Must live within a commutable distance to Bedford
