Position: Finance Manager
Contract Type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract (Full-Time)

As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that you manage all financial aspects of the contract, supporting operational management and ensuring all of the customer and internal financial reporting is complete and maintained.
Key Responsibilities in this role will include:
Production of complete, accurate and timely management accounts
Ownership of budgeting and forecasting together with analytical review vs. actuals
Manage the flow of cash so that Working Capital requirements are minimised
Measure customer profitability as appropriate ensuring that any risks are identified and opportunities maximised
Maintain tight costs control over the business operational costs and overheads
Maintain and develop financial planning and reporting tools which provide both corporate DHL management and local management with the information they require to understand activity and manage the business effectively
Identify cost trends and opportunities for adding value
Play a key role in the preparation of business cases and where applicable the challenging and appraising of new business projects and renewals
Supporting management in identifying areas for operational and productivity improvement
Ensure adherence to DHL policies and good accounting practice
Balance sheet management and control/working capital management
Undertake ad hoc financial analysis and requests as required by the DFID account team
Control financial reporting of key KPI areas
Ensure the invoicing and payment by the customers is as per the contract
Completion of the weekly quicks and control PO/PC database updates
Managing the stock ordering, payment and re-invoicing function
Other duties within the general scope of the post and appropriate to the grading as may be required from time to time
Overall financial management of the contract
Support larger projects as per request, working to budget and often tight deadlines
Ability to work in a matrix organisation, meeting the needs of multiple stakeholders and managing upwards as well as sideways
Key skills and experience in this role will include:
Previous experience within logistics
Previous experience of working within Humanitarian Aid environment would be an advantage
Comfortable in numerical, financial and data management environment.
High level of Excel literacy
Demonstrable experience of working within finance environment
Limited but flexible approach to travel required
Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent qualification
Recognised Finance Qualification desirable / studying towards
