Our client, a professional services organisation based in Sheffield, currently have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, dynamic Junior Applications Developer to join their central team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. You will be responsible for assisting the IT function to developing innovative systems and solutions to meet the ongoing needs of the organisation. This role would suit a bright and professional graduate who has a passion for web development and perhaps has a passion for running their own projects in their spare time. Reporting to the IT Manager, duties and responsibilities include; - Designing and developing SQL databases - Developing web based systems - Designing and conducting software tests - Providing a technical advice and guidance service to users - Maintaining and supporting specialised software packages - Preparing guidance documentation for users The following programming and development experience is essential for the role; - JavaScript - PHP - AJAX - ASP - XML - SQL - Adobe Photoshop This is a fantastic opportunity to join an excellent Sheffield-based organisation within a successful team environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to think logically and work well as part of a team. You must have extensive knowledge of Windows client/server operating systems and an in-depth knowledge of computer systems, networks and a range of software applications.
