CHIEF DATA OFFICER FOR ONLINE CREDIT RISK
ASSESSMENT

BERLIN AND LONDON

Your role and responsibilities:

*Own and optimize credit risk strategy, with focus on the long-term portfolio
*performance;
*Be the unique voice of data and insights for strategic decisions: build data capabilities (e.g. use of bureau data, big data and alternative data sources);
*Translate data (standard, non-standard and new) into actionable risk and business insights;
*Constantly pushing the boundaries of data, statistics and predictive analytics within the organisation;
*Being at the forefront of Financial based technology and bring new concepts in risk assessment for business loans;
*Utilise AWS, SQL, NoSQL and Python for data mining, statistical modelling and analysis;
*Being a thought leader in statistical methodologies;
*Accessing and manipulating data to provide genuine insight into customer behaviour and future behaviours for wider commercial impact.

What we expect:

* University degree in analytics, quantitative or business - related areas are a
major plus;

* 5+ years of experience with credit risk management;

* Familiarity with products like short term instalment loans and revolving
products for consumers in the low and medium income segment;

* Experience with crisis situations during 2007 and 2009 and response to that
would be considered an advantage;

* Preferred experience in SME enterprise, underwriting processes & credit
approval;

* Solid understanding of consumer risk management (customer life cycle, initial
risk assessment to collection);

* Experience using at least two of the following tools - AWS/Redshift, Python,
Hive, Hadoop;

* You have strong analytical skills, can develop actionable insights and drive
solutions;

* Experience with training and capacity planning for collections in Spain and
other European countries;

* Experience with handling people in a multilingual and multicultural environment;

* Ability to work in a high-performance environment;

* Ability to work in a structured manner with regulators and be an innovator in
the digital space;

* Ability to continuously challenge your own risk processes in a changing digital environment;

* Good communication is highly valued & ability to work in fast changing
environment;

* Work in London or Berlin. Can spend sufficient time in other countries (mainly in EU);

* Your English is fluent, other languages like Spanish and Russian are a plus.
