The interim Head of Data will be vital in setting the strategic and operational direction for Data Governance, working with a range of senior stakeholders to shape and deliver the Data Governance model in an effective and efficient manner. The role will be the critical link between multiple design authorities, steering committees and working groups internally. The new head will lead the design and implementation of the Data Governance Model with consideration and collaborative working with the General Data Protection Regulation Program. The individual will work closely with the business and IT to develop our Data Governance framework. Main Duties & Responsibilities - Lead the creation of the Data Governance Model in how it should manage, use and govern data with consideration to legislation and data directives [Data quality, GDPR, PCI] - Design and Implementation of robust data governance processes to ensure that the business captures, maintains and presents data consistently across the organisation - Creating an environment and culture which makes data and information accessible across all functions and the usage implications are understood - Design a Best in Class Target Operating Model for all things data - Contribute to the strategic planning and drive of GDPR - Envision and propose an effective communications strategy for the new Data Governance Model Summary of Key Attributes and Qualifications - Significant Data Management & Governance experience - Strong communication skills, the ability to present a strategic vision to the board, summarising findings from complex data analysis for a non-technical audience, and preparing management reports for stakeholders - Proven track record of implementing a new data governance model and data capability and the development of supporting processes [from cradle to grave] - Excellent knowledge and expertise in relevant legislation and data governance standards - Experience developing and maintaining effective Data Governance policies, procedures and guidance - Excellent relationship management skills, with a proven ability to influence at a Senior Management and Executive level - An experienced Senior Change Agent instilling the importance of data and it's continuum Next steps: If you think you're suitable for this role, please get in touch asap for immediate consideration.
