Senior / Principal Hardware Engineer (RF)

Our Client is a leader in their field and due to expansion are currently looking to recruit an experienced RF Hardware Engineer in the Edinburgh area. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior RF Hardware Engineer to join their radar receiver development team. The receiver team are milt-disciplinary highly experience specialising in the design and development of high performance radar receiver sub-systems areas.

About the role

You will work within a receiver development team and will be responsible for the engineering and technical aspects of RF and/or receiver circuits and systems.


Ideally you will possess a degree in Electronic Engineering or related science (e.g. Physics) with specialism in high frequency circuits and receiver techniques supported by appropriate fundamental elements. Relevant experience will also be considered.


You will have experience at a senior engineer level in design of RF/Microwave circuits and sub-systems or be ready to take the next step into this role.
You should be familiar with current industry standard ECAD tools. We are particularly seeking has expert knowledge in Agilent ADS, AWR Microwave office, Agilent system Vue or Matlab/Simulink.

Working Environment

This is mainly an office based role using display screen equipment but you will also work in a development lab and occasionally in a production area in a clean room environment. Working to tight deadlines either on a regular or ad hoc basis will be required. Occasional travel within the UK and abroad with overnight stays may be required.

The nature of the tasks involved means that any candidate being considered for the position must be capable of achieving full SC security clearance
