Position: Calibration Technician Location: Leamington Spa Salary: £25'000 plus Hours: 39 hours - Days In accordance with defined standards and procedures, calibrates equipment and verifies components/assemblies are to specification. Primarily Responsible for: - Supporting attainment of department plans and objectives by: - Ensuring all company gauges and measurement equipment is accurate. - Producing component / assemblies' dimensional reports. - Checking Prototype Parts and Life Series are within specification. - Monitoring production quality performance. - Checking suppliers ISIR reports. Principal Duties undertaken: - Perform various duties including calibration, maintenance and repairs of tools and equipment - Administer all calibration methods and procedures. - In accordance with predetermined schedule, calibrates all company gauges and measuring equipment; - Completes full dimensional checks and reports outcome, on production and prototype components and assemblies; - Multi-disciplinary instrument calibration without supervision to approved procedures; - Conducts point of production quality audits; - Working in a laboratory setting; - Carries out full quality check on suppliers ISIR reports; - Participates as required, in continuous improvement initiatives. Person Specification Qualifications and Experience required - Previous experience working within a lab environment; - Good knowledge of gauges/instrumentation; - A minimum of two years` calibration experience; - Experience of high volume component modern manufacturing systems, processes and equipment; - Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques would be beneficial Fully conversant with/competent in: - Relevant measurement equipment/techniques - Engineering Drawings - Interpretation of measurement reports Department Policies Procedures and Standards - Metrology Manual - Control of Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment - Inspection and Testing - Internal Quality Audits - Process Control - Control of Non-Conforming Product
