Job Title: Front-End Developer Based in: London Salary: Competitive We have some new and exciting projects, and are looking to hire a front end developer in our technology team. About the Front-End Developer: Working within the Technology team at Citywire, you will play a key part in building and delivering systems that help grow the business. As well as our public websites, we build many of our internal applications in house; such as our CMS, email and magazine circulation management tool, audience engagement analytics platform, investment management and analysis tools. You will be responsible for writing high-quality markup and client-side code for new and existing web applications, bringing designs or wireframes to life. You will work with other developers and the UI Designer. You will take ownership of the front-end architecture, ensuring it is maintainable, scalable and performant. We work in an agile environment; developing in small iterations and working directly with stakeholders on a wide range of projects. You would gain strong exposure to the skills and ideas we have across all departments and every opportunity to develop your own skills. Key Responsibilities of the Front-End Developer: - Develop UI features within web applications - Write responsive, cross-browser, semantic HTML and CSS - Apply functionality using client-side scripting - Integrate with back-end - via APIs, data models etc. - Build well-structured front-end architecture that is easily maintainable - Optimise applications for performance and scalability - Collaborate with UI designer and back-end developers Requirements of the Front-End Developer: Essential: - Responsive HTML & CSS for web and email - Understanding of CSS preprocessors, such as SASS - JavaScript and frameworks, such as Angular.js - Knowledge of CSS architecture and methodologies - Minimum 3 years industry experience - If you have worked on large scale websites it would be an advantage.
