The role I am currently seeking a Customer Service Engineer to join a global leader specifically working in a field based role carrying out repairs, maintenance and installation of life science instrumentation and accessories. In particular, this role will focus on performing to a high standard acting as an ambassador for the company whilst carrying out routine maintenance of equipment and ensuring documentation is regularly updated and reviewed. Due to the customer interaction and support element to this role, exceptional communication skills will be required. The successful candidate coming into this role will work to support issues both onsite and remotely, this means that the role is quite autonomous and would require good time management skills. Due to the customer interaction and support element to this role, exceptional customer service skills will be required. This is a mobile position which will suit someone based in the South West Central (ideally Reading to Swindon areas). The requirements You will be exceptionally technically minded with experience of working in Electronics preferably gained in a high technology service environment, together with an understanding of analytical and clinical instrument applications, but aside from this will also have: - You will be qualified to a HND or equivalent level in Electronic Engineering or a Biotechnology discipline - You be able to deliver exceptional customer service to clients on all levels. - As this is field-based role, you will be required to travel to client sites across the North of England. - Previous experience of using or maintaining mass spectrometry instruments is advantageous. - Ability to fault-find to component level. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with customers and colleagues.
