Hours: 12-hour shifts (6 to 6) 4 on 4 off, rotating days and nights 19 days annual leave plus Christmas and New Year's Day bank holidays Other Benefits: - Attendance bonus of £80 every 4 weeks based on 100% attendance - Production bonus (if achieve by the production teams) of £60 - Company pension - company contribution is 3.5%, which must be matched by employee Renowned for quality and innovative food products, a new opening has been created for a forward-thinking Engineer to join this rapidly expanding food manufacturer in the Northamptonshire area. Scope and General Purpose: To provide an effective engineering maintenance service by means of the application of mechanical skills in fault-finding/diagnostics, planned preventative maintenance practices and mechanical installation. Day to day duties will include the following: - To follow/apply effective safe working in accordance with Approved Codes of Practice governing working with mechanical plant and equipment. - Carry out planned preventative mechanical maintenance as directed by the Company's computerised maintenance management systems. - To apply systematic diagnostics in mechanical engineering in order to minimise the impact of plant failures/breakdowns. - To undertake mechanical repairs, refurbishment and installation tasks within Butcher's Pet Care Ltd. - To actively participate /facilitate continuous improvements, initiatives, identifying and implementing manufacturing improvement opportunities. - To provide technical advice/support for electrical maintenance aspects on equipment procurement, installation and plant refurbishment projects. - To carry out mechanical maintenance activities to standards of hygiene/housekeeping appropriate to a food manufacturing environment. - Activities at all times to be carried out in accordance with Butcher's Pet Care's Company Policy You will need the following qualities and experience: - Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship - Experience of repairing and maintaining manufacturing plant & equipment - Experience of working with PLC's (Siemens S7, S5 and Alan Bradley - would be advantageous but not essential) Manufacturing Workforce are responsible for placing skilled and in demand people on both a permanent and contract basis into the Engineering, Technical and Manufacturing sectors, from skilled Shop Floor Personnel and Specialist Engineers to Supervisory and Management positions.
