About the role We are looking for a talented and experienced UI Designer to create amazing user experiences and solve real problems. The ideal candidate will be able to make deliberate design decisions and to transform any given user-experience journey into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces whilst documenting interaction flows. You will need to have strong communication skills that allow you to efficiently communicate and visualise ideas to stakeholders across the company. You will have experience working in agile teams, with developers, UX designers and product owners. Responsibilities: - Work with the UX Design team to ensure we deliver the best experience possible. - Have ownership on your work and the freedom to take quick decisions to move the product forward. - Conceptualizing original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks. - Develop and maintain a detailed UI design style guide of design components. - Contribute to the development and delivery of effective user interfaces. - Multitask when necessary, and prioritise multiple tasks within the design sprint. Requirements - BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or significant work experience with a strong portfolio. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. - An expert knowledge of UI design principles and techniques. - Proficiency in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, Marvel, InVision, Principle or other visual design, wireframing tools and prototyping tools. - Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders. - Be open to receiving objective feedback and iterating upon it. - Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively. - Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies. It would be preferable for candidates to have the following qualities - A passion for surgery, anatomy and technology. - Great attention to detail. - Strong organisational skills, proactive and assertive.
