Role: Developer- Coleshill (near Birmingham Airport) Package: Up to £35K plus excellent Benefits) Role type: Permanent Location: Coleshill (near Birmingham Airport) Great opportunity to join an innovative Software Development team developing product solutions for Customers in a dynamic Agile development environment. The team form part of a leading provider of IT Solutions to the Public Sector with offices throughout the UK. We are looking for highly motivated software developers, sharing responsibility for developing, implementing and maintaining the software solutions. You will have opportunity to travel to customer site to see the developed software in use and identify areas for improvement so that the software is always evolving. You Will: As a Developer you will: - Participate in sprints, including planning and design - Develop software predominantly in the .net stack from web, to enterprise, to database - Build automated tests as part of our continuous integration / behaviour driven development methods - Present your teams work for critiquing to internal and external stakeholders - Provide second line support where appropriate Continue to learn and share, acting as a digital ambassador for the team Key Skills: - Minimum 1 year's commercial experience as a software developer for the Developer role. Minimum 4 years commercial experience as a software developer for the Senior Developer role - Front end development skills. CSS, HTML and Javascript (essential) - Back end development skills (essential). Development is in .net, but experience of any backend language (e.g. java, ruby, python) and a willingness to learn new ones is essential. - Database and SQL (essential) - Awareness of secure development including OWASP (preferable) - Software design principles such as SOLID (preferable) - Ability to work in a collaborative setting. - Good communication skills.
