Project Planner required to start a long term contract role in November 17!

You will be responsible for the delivery of the project schedule throughout the complete project lifecycle, from inception to completion, in accordance with the requisite quality standards and with consideration to the scope, time requirements and budgetary constraints.

To work with the Project Manager and Project Controls Manager to establish the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
Reporting progress and estimates to complete, to assist the Project Manager in control of the project within the required timescales and budget.
Ensuring the programme is produced in line with industry best practice, the company standards and the needs of the client.
Attend project launches
Set up of the project programme including resource and cost and maintain throughout the project lifecycle and obtaining sign-off from the key participants.
Resourcing of the project programme and provision of resource requirement forecasts
Assist the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor in identifying scope and schedule changes and in the management of the scope change process with the client. Involvement in the development of scope change notices (e.g. NCEs, EWN,s) by assessment of cost, programme and resource implications.
Update the schedule periodically and by exception to incorporate all agreed change (NCEs, EWNs)
Liaise with the client's project team where directed by the Project Manager in the co-ordination of all project interfaces. Obtain 'estimates to complete' (ETC) for engineering, suppliers, management and site based activities and feed into cost control system.
Participate in project financial reviews alongside Project Managers, Engineers, Project Accountants, Project Controls Manager and Quantity Surveyor.
Ensure that programme files for the project are properly initiated, maintained, completed and stored in the correct file locations
All other duties as reasonably required

A recognized qualification in an engineering related discipline

Extensive knowledge of Airline/Handler baggage operational processes
Extensive knowledge of cross Heathrow baggage operations and maintenance processes and procedures
Excellent Knowledge and experience of Primavera P6 EPPM(Ver 8.2 and above) PC Literacy particularly the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Experience of working with Project teams and an understanding of the project management process
Facilitation of process development and review workshops and team briefs
Experience in working with a diverse range of specialist team members
Experience of HAL document management process and procedures including the use of Documentum would be an advantage
Be capable of demonstrating a structured approach to justifying key engineering decisions
At Least 3 years' experience in a Project Planning role
Experience of scheduling and programming of multi-disciplined projects.
Experience of working in an ISO 9001 environment
Experience of performing similar roles in airports / logistics or materials handling

£350 - £400 a day DOE
