We have an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack Developer to join our clients fast paced and rapidly expanding company located in Ascot. They are currently revolutionising the marketplace with a unique and integrated application and are looking for an enthusiastic software developer with a strong foundation in Ruby server side development.

The Role:

·Maintain legacy Ruby infrastructure as required

·Develop front end projects

·Produce high quality coding

·Contribute to the success of the team by performing code reviews and providing constructive feedback

Although looking for Ruby expertise you will not be bound to this technology as you will be given the opportunity to explore and enhance your specialism in other areas. You will therefore need to be open to developing in other technologies. In particular, familiarity or readiness to work with Python is a must.

Candidate Requirements:

Comprehensive experience in Ruby server side development is required. You will need to be an excellent communicator who is vocal and full of ideas with the ability to liaise with different departments as well as utilising best development practices. You should be able to demonstrate experience in the following things:

·In depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS

·Using JavaScript as well as common frameworks such as React or Angular

·NoSQL databases in particular MongoDB

·Source Control (Git will be used)

·Developing in a Unix environment (Linux or macOS)

·Excellent unit testing/ QA skills

·Working using Agile methodologies

Advantageous skills will include familiarity with Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask or Falcon.

The company is close to public transport links and only a few minutes walking distance from the mainline train station. Alternatively via car it is easily commutable from locations such as London Waterloo, Reading, Camberley, Bracknell, Fleet, Maidenhead, Wokingham, Slough, Farnborough, Woking, Staines, Chertsey and Windsor.
