Newstaff Employment Services are looking to recruit a Senior Web Developer based in Luton.

My Client designs websites and cloud based software development. They manage projects specialising in property industry and virtual reality applications.

To become their Senior Web Developer, you would need to have solid knowledge in all of the following programming languages:

JavaScript, HTML 5.0, CSS3, PHP, etc. (Preferably full-stack).

Primary purpose of the role:

To use your extraordinary talent for designing, writing and continuous improvement in all of your day-to-day actions. To turn your passion for delivering superb IT solutions into systems with great UI/UX, which will help us to deliver memorable Customer Satisfaction.

Main objectives

Designing, developing, testing, deployment, maintenance and continuous improvement of bug-free software.

Your responsibilities will consist of:

Writing and coding individual applications or providing an entirely new software resource, based on provided specifications and/or modifying and integrating any "of-the-shelf" software this into an existing network to meet the needs of our web products;

Reviewing and analysing currently used systems and their performance;

Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals;

Working closely with the Director, Business Development Manager and other Team Members;

Producing detailed specifications and writing the program codes;

Testing the products in controlled, real situations before going live;

Preparation of training manuals for users and conducting training;

Maintaining the systems once they are up and running, etc.

Ownership of the technical and graphical aspects of our client websites – ensuring that the site works smoothly, looks neat and provides excellent UI/UX;

Writing the website programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet business requirements;

Testing the website and identifying any technical problems;

Uploading the site onto a server and register it with different search engines, etc.

Software and Website Developer needs following experience and qualifications:

At least a 3-year relevant software-oriented NVQ qualification in IT practitioner subjects and/or some Bachelor’s or Master’s studies in IT, computer science, programming, software engineering and/or 1+ year of proven successful experience in software and/or websitedesign (preferred).

Up-to-date expertise in current computer software – understanding and ability to use some or all of the following programming languages: JavaScript, HTML 5.0, CSS3, PHP, etc. (Preferably full-stack or able to quickly pick up new programming languages).

Experience in reviewing and analysing currently used systems and their performance to suggest and implement improvements needed, etc.

MINIMUM 3 YEARS OF WORK-EXPERIENCE IS MUST.
