My Thame based client, a leading accountancy firm, is seeking a Client Portfolio Manager to join their team. As a Manager you will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of clients providing services such as accounts preparation, audit, tax compliance, and accounting advice. You will also be involved with supervising trainees and providing support to other Managers and Directors within the company.

Key Client responsibilities include: Taking on and managing new Clients, building rapport with all clients and achieving a high level of client service, liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients and going above and beyond with regards to Client expectations. Other tasks involve the supervision and preparation of annual accounts for companies, partnerships, sole traders and charities, managing audits through to completion, preparation of corporate tax returns and self-assessment returns, preparation and review of research and development calculations.

The successful candidate will be at least part ACA qualified with a strong background in a client driven environment within an accountancy practice. You should therefore have proven statutory accounts experience with sound accounting, corporate and personal tax and VAT technical knowledge with some supervisory experience. As Client Portfolio Manager you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client focused attitude and the ability to build strong working relationships with others. You should have the ability to analyse and solve complex problems, with good attention to detail. Furthermore you should be comfortable working to tight deadlines whilst being flexible in your approach. Good IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel are imperative. The successful candidate will enjoy the management and cultivation of their Clients within an independent accountancy firm.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 9 - 5:30. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
